Tried the same with only 30 leds running to be sure the power supply is sufficient, but same results. Even when I pause the movie they keep flashing. But however when starting a movie with VLC/MediaPlayer/Youtube the leds start flashing random and wrong colours. When moving a red box (or different colour) all leds light up as it should. When using the Processing sketch or AmbiBox I'm getting great results when I'm on my desktop. As I readed on the adalight setup tutorial they recommand to use more, so I bought a 3A unit. The specs from the led string are rated 0.02A each led maximum, so 0.02 x 50 = 1A. For the power supply I'm using a 5V 3A unit, I suppose that should be sufficient. I've recently bought a led string with 50 leds and using an arduino uno R3 to control the leds.
